08 May Celebrate Mums of all Kinds
‘Miraculous yet terrifying’, ‘sleep depriving yet stimulating’ and ‘tear jerking yet self-defining’ are just a few ways to describe motherhood. All that and much more.
You don’t have to be Einstein to realise that after spending nine months intimately joined together, mother and infant share more than just common features.
And the journey, the long and winding path that takes you from genetic code through to being human being with your own bodily organs and muscles, is magical.
So we all have a lot to thank our mothers for, and around the time of Mother’s Day – Sunday 13 May – there’s a lot going on in The Greenhouse of Orange as we turn our minds to treating Mums in a manner of ways.
One decadent way to spoil Mum this Mother’s Day is with a special high tea on the very day.
The menu will be a traditional high tea featuring: mini croissants, goats cheese tarts and buttermilk scones just to name a few luxurious treat.
A few tickets are still available for $55/head. You can book on our What’s On page.
Mother’s Day is that one time of the year you can spare some time for Mum. Maybe a quick phone call to say ‘thank you’, or an hour or two in the afternoon to enjoy a cuppa and a natter (Preferably somewhere she doesn’t have to wash up after you for the zillionth time!).
Perhaps it’s time to treat your wife and take the kids for a family celebration of the mothers in your lives in the Family Pavilion.
Our edible gardens are well into their Autumn display, with the artistic mix of vegetable and ornamental adding a greater texture to the landscaping as many going to seed currently. Also, our indoor plant displays are really coming into their own after a few months’ dedicated growing time.
Further, we’ve just opened a new bakery section!! Our magnificently talented pastry chef whips up fresh treats on site daily, including strawberry tarts, chocolate éclairs, melting moments, croissants and Danishes.
And be sure to be in quick to make the most of the Autumn seasonal menu before it’s time for a change.
Go on, you know every Mum deserves celebrating!
