FINDING THE PERFECT BALANCE

Everyone knows how hard it is to find that perfect balance between enjoying time with family and looking after yourself.

Tai Chi instructor, Meg Hoskins, hopes her weekly Tai Chi classes do both as she presents Mums and Bubs Tai Chi on the Greenhouse lawn each Monday from 10.30am to 11.30am until 27 November.

The weekly class has been specifically developed to teach mums basic Tai Chi techniques that will help them and their children while relaxing and having fun.

“The Australian Academy of Tai Chi was started by Grand Master Khor in Sydney in 1976,” Meg explains.

“I studied Tai Chi with him and senior instructors in Sydney with ongoing training and have been teaching Tai Chi with the Academy for over 20 years.”

With a background in physiotherapy, Meg’s aim is to improve people’s quality of life and she is excited to be offering a class for mothers and children at The Greenhouse.

“I have held some classes with school age children, and my own young grandchildren and I realise that young ones may follow only a little as attention span allows. It is mainly for the mum’s with a few basic Tai Chi techniques that will help them and their children while relaxing and having fun.”

Meg explains that Tai Chi is very beneficial for our health and wellbeing with no force or strain. It’s good for any age group or fitness level and offers a chance to relax while exercising and learning some new skills for staying calm and having more energy.

The classes will be held each Monday between 10:30am – 11:30am over six weeks. Single visit passes and class passes are available.
