Become A Winemaker For A Day

As part of the diverse celebration and showcase of Orange’s cool climate wines in 2018 Orange Wine Festival, we’re doing something truly unique to inspire and enhance your wine knowledge. And of course we’ll be treating you with Award-winning produce from our kitchens too!

Our signature event is the Orange Wine Festival Degustation Dinner and blending bar on Wednesday 17 October 2018.

Guests will enjoy a five-course feast prepared by Greenhouse chefs that will be complimented with local wines chosen by expert vigneron Antonio D’Onise.

Antonio D’Onise has been making wine for over 15 years, with both national and international experience.
In just the past few years alone, he’s been recognised as NSW Small Winemaker of the Year, was awarded NSW Wine of the year for a Shiraz vintage and has won gold medals at several capital city wine shows.

Antonio will also be hosting a wine blending bar, to introduce an interactive aspect of wine preparation both to the evening and to the Festival as a whole.

Guests will get the chance to mix local wines in volumatic cylinders to form interesting and unique wine types from Antonio’s own vintages.
Its’s a chance to expand your palate and gain a better appreciation of the wine blends you prefer.

This event is ideal for locals and tourists alike to experience life as a winemaker, and learn about wine even from a beginner’s perspective.

Tickets cost $120 PP, and are available through our website HERE: http://thegreenhouseoforange.com.au/whats-on/.

Street Food & Jazz will be a free and accessible Orange Wine Festival event the whole family can enjoy on Sunday 14 October 2018.

Bathurst’s Pengopuss are a six-piece funk and swing jazz band with a sound perfect for a lazy afternoon enjoying the premium range of local cool climate wines available at The Greenhouse.

Pengopuss and Street Food commence at 12pm, with fresh ribs coming out of the pizza bar.

Cool climate wine with cool climate wine on a lazy Sunday…perfection!
